Local Development Workshop Concludes in Contramaestre

In a week of diverse activities, the municipality of Contramaestre held its eleventh Local Development Workshop, which included collaboration with professors and students from the Municipal University Center (CUM), as well as outreach to social and community sectors. The workshop’s objective is to promote the economic development of the region and provide innovative, high-quality services.

The presentation of products and new projects was one of the main initiatives of the day, aimed at fostering essential production chains. Entities such as the Niceto Pérez Credit and Services Cooperative (CCS) showcased innovative offerings designed for the long-term use of food.

Additionally, a comprehensive symposium on development was held, featuring presentations of economic, social, and educational interest. Alesnay Pérez de la Fe, Director of the Rolando Ayub Coffee Company, gave a presentation on business innovation and human resource management.

For his part, Humberto Estrada Gamboa, Director of Development for the municipality of Contramaestre, stated that all aspects of local development must be prioritized to achieve a significant impact, and emphasized the need to increase food production, according to the program that includes the cultivation of rice, root vegetables, other vegetables, and fruit trees.

This workshop addresses the municipality’s need to promote initiatives and projects that benefit the local economy, as well as the offering of new services and products that leverage the region’s potential. In this regard, ongoing training and the search for alternative solutions are key to achieving satisfactory results.
