Called on by the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC) and its unions, workers in the municipality of Contramaestre and throughout the country are preparing to participate in the May Day parade, International Workers’ Day.
In this eastern region, the plenary session for this celebration was held, with the participation of the municipality’s main political and governmental authorities, as well as leaders of the CTC, its unions, and the National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers (ANIR) from the municipality.
This meeting highlighted each worker’s commitment to their assigned tasks and the importance of unity in the current circumstances, as a guarantee of victory for the entire people and the effective collaboration among the different unions.
“The Homeland Defends Itself” is the central slogan that will feature prominently in the traditional parade, as an invitation to uphold the achievements of the Revolution. Other slogans, such as “For Cuba, together we create,” reaffirm the commitment to contributing to economic development and supporting new projects that benefit the population.
The call is not only to food production and other economic activities, but also to classrooms, health centers, culture, sports, and all spheres of society as a whole, which permeate the lives of Cuban families.
The upcoming May Day will be observed amidst a complex economic landscape, marked by the intensification of the United States’ economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba. Faced with this great challenge, the participation of the Cuban people in International Workers’ Day demonstrates resilience and commitment.
