Once again the workers will hoist their factories and companies, the white coats of doctors, nurses and technologists will reaffirm their commitment to continue saving lives, despite the harsh blockade that hits the sector.
Teachers and students will once again show the strength of a cultured people, the youth will express the continuity of the revolutionary work, artists and intellectuals will confirm the defense of that vanguard of thought, and athletes will show the energy of their bodies in the midst of persistent adversities.
In the central highway of Contramaestre, housewives will show with their raised hands the fruit of their creation, peasants will demonstrate their greatness of spirit in defense of food production, and civilian workers of the FAR will overflow their joy expressed in proletarian unity.
With optimism and patriotic fervor Contramaestre will parade this May Day, exalting the legacy of union leaders such as Lázaro Peña, Jesús Menéndez, Aracelio Iglesias, Armando Mestre and Alfredo López, with special emphasis on the 65th anniversary of the victorious January and the 171st anniversary of the birth of our National Hero José Martí.
