Oral storytelling event held in Contramaestre

Thus, with the children as protagonists, the Event of oral narrators and declamators that took place in the elementary school Onelio Díaz Corría of the municipality of Contramaestre d onde also participated, art teachers of the System of Houses of Culture in the territory and had as main exponent Yelina Rodríguez López, instructor at the headquarters center, began on the morning of Friday, February 2.

The presentation was dominated by the talent of the little declamators and oral narrators who showed off their abilities, offering a varied repertoire to the delight of those present. The work of Osmany Guisado, art instructor of the Sistema de Casas de Cultura, stood out, who gave a professional touch full of joy in which the children laughed and enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

At the end of the presentation we spoke with Theater Instructor Niurka Figueredo Tassé:

Journalist: Please tell us a little about what happened this morning.

Niurka: An event that we proposed to bring children closer to oral storytelling, which is a specialty modality that is part of the rescue of traditional popular culture, oral storytelling, storytellers are a way of defending our popular culture and we also wanted all the instructors of the José Martí Brigade in one way or another to participate in this event and visualize the work that is being done in each of the schools in the municipality.

Journalist: Who are participating in this event?

Niurka: several children presented themselves with very good preparation, we have to continue working on the repertoires and on the quality.

Journalist: Osmany Guisado’s presentation was impressive, could you talk about his work.

Niurka: We wanted Osmany to participate because he is a very good instructor who is now working with us at the Casa de Cultura, he is creating his artistic units because he recently joined and to see the exceptional work he is doing with the children, I think it is a way to motivate the children and the instructors to the work that is being done.
