22nd International Congress on Science Education to be held in Cuba

Havana, Mar 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is finalizing details to host the 12th International Congress on Science Didactics and the XVII International Workshop on Physics Teaching, from March 25 to 28, at the Havana Convention Palace.

According to the Ministry of Education of the island, the meeting will be attended by researchers from Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Ecuador, Spain and Venezuela.

The president of the scientific committee of the Congress, Alexis Méndez, explained that there will be an exchange on the teaching and learning process of natural and exact sciences and technical sciences in general and higher education, and in non-formal education.

The role of the sciences in the digital transformation of societies and the attention to the talent of children, adolescents, and young people, in the area of science, will also be discussed.

The scientific program includes five symposiums, among them, the 12th Workshop on the teaching of Physics, the teaching and learning of Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth and Space Sciences, the use of computer resources, and the development of digital skills in the teaching and learning process of these disciplines.

At the same event there will be associated exhibitions, in which institutions, projects, and national and foreign companies will be able to exhibit and market their productions, services, and materials.

The opening conference of the congress will be given by the president of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, Luis Velázquez.
