Martí, paradigm for Cuban children

Marti’s essence becomes a paradigm and an obligatory example for Cuban children who see in his ideals a model for the future. Cuban children who see in his ideals a model of the man of the future. José Martí Pérez is essential for the education of new generations, that flourish and rise in each educational center.

This January 28th would be the 171st birthday of the Man of the Golden Age and like something out of one of his children’s stories, like magic appear on the face of each smiles and puts his new faith in human improvement.

He mingles in the crowd of little uniformed children who in the mornings jubilantly sing the Anthem of Bayamo, run and have fun at recess, free and happy.

The Maestro resurfaces in the little girl who hugs her doll in a children’s circle or the circle or the little boy who plays pirates wielding the saber that Bebé gave Raúl.

In a park one dreams of the exploits of the wise little pinky who also runs around and teaches little tricks to his peers, the same ones who in their classrooms learn the stories of the man told by their houses or of the spoon and fork, the exploits of the Greeks and their heroes.

Marti’s sensitivity comes in every loving gesture of a mother, a teacher or art instructor. The most universal of Cubans is reborn every January and his mustachioed face encourages and drives human improvement.
