Taking into account the eminently social character of the State budget, ratified in this 2023 with Law 157, the Public Health sector of Contramaestre continues to be supported in the expenses incurred by its activity, with 24.6 percent of the budget amount of this territory, which for this year exceeds 876 thousand 187 million pesos.
Particularly, the Public Health sector has a budget in the order of 200 million 544 thousand 300 pesos for personnel expenses and other services of this sector.
Support for health personnel
The figure supports the care of doctors, stomatologists, nurses and technicians, the operation of polyclinics, stomatology clinics, maternity and nursing homes, grandparents’ homes, hygiene and epidemiology units, as well as primary health care, arbovirosis and contingency diseases.
In 2023, close to one million pesos will be allocated for construction repairs, particularly for improvement and comfort actions at the Wilfredo Pagés Home for the Elderly and at the Family Medical Clinic No. 30 in Blanquizal. Likewise, constructive attention will be given to offices 11 and 12 belonging to the demarcation where the Patricio Lumumba people’s council operates.
It has also been planned for this year to give continuity to the repair and constructive maintenance of the neonatology room of the Orlando Pantoja Tamayo General Hospital where patients come not only from the city of Contramaestre but also from the municipalities of Tercer Frente, Jiguaní and others.
