Twelve presentations revealing the research work of women in the economic, accounting and financial fields, marked in Contramaestre the development of the Twelfth edition of the Scientific Event: “Woman Economist and Accountant”, EMECOM 2023, promoted by the association that brings together those who work professionally in the field of economic sciences, ANEC.
In Contramaestre there is female presence in the various sectors of the economy, production and services: in companies, budgeted units, agricultural structures, new forms of non-state management, among other branches, with contributions to the area of knowledge and in favor of projects and proposals that seek to go to the solution of the bank of problems of the territory in the economic and social field.
From the Casa del Economista (Economist’s Hall) of this municipality in the province of Santiago, the event promoted science and innovation through the exchange of experiences among the participants with a view to developing scientific and technical skills to strengthen strategic alliances with research centers and universities and to contribute to the professional development of ANEC members.
The ANEC Scientific Committee in Contramaestre awarded the paper presented by author Imilce Alvarez Capote, entitled: New approach to the training and development of educational assistants and pedagogical assistants in children’s institutions, as an outstanding paper.

Methodological proposal for the development of the teaching process in the Agroindustrial course at the Municipal University Center, by the author, PhD Damaris Sarmiento Duany, and Strategic administration as a tool to face the obstacles of the Cuban economy, by the student Leanet Rivero Álvarez.
Likewise, the board of judges gave special recognition to the paper entitled: Light to women entrepreneurship Las Bibijoas: authored by Melisa Salina Rodríguez, student, Adelkys Mora Rodríguez and Dairen Zamora López, master’s degree.
Rafael Cala Machiran, President of the Municipal Executive Council of ANEC, at the closing of the Twelfth edition of the scientific event: “Women Economist and Accountant”, valued it as fruitful, considering the quality of the papers presented, high participation and the depth of the debates and reflections contributed in terms of territorial development. He called for the next EMECON 2024 and for the participation in the next events planned to be held during the year by ANEC of Contramaestre.
