The process of strengthening cooperatives in Contramaestre is completed

On May 10, the process of strengthening the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) will end in the Santiago municipality of Contramaestre.

Thirty-four assemblies have been organized in this eastern territory, which have been developed with quality, organization and attendance, a sign of the importance given by representatives of the agricultural structures as well as the peasantry to this important task.

In the town of Santiago de Cuba, this process began on April 10 at the Miguel Betancourt Credit and Service Cooperative (CCS), an outstanding productive base in this territory and recently selected as the most integral in the emulation by the 17th of May.

The main objective of the process has been to integrate all the organizational, political, productive, economic and social tasks in a single direction for the conduction of the process. Change that seeks to improve food production, a better attention to producers, a better functioning of each of the productive bases, as well as an efficient productive yield. These transformations also respond to the Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security Law.
