The Filorosso Association of Italy-Cuba solidarity made possible through the International Project “Emergency for the Sanitary Transport of Santiago de Cuba”, the delivery of an ambulance to the General Teaching Hospital Orlando Pantoja Tamayo in the municipality of Contramaestre.
The donation, which also included a series of medical supplies amounting to 28 thousand euros, was received at the medical institution in this municipality of Santiago de Cuba. This altruistic Italian gesture adds to the efforts of the revolutionary government aimed at sustaining public health services.
The delivery ceremony was attended by the President of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, Doctor Manuel Rodriguez Alfaro, Doctor Julio Guerra Izquierdo, Provincial Director of Health and Doctor Yuandra Hum Tabarez, Municipal Director of Health in Contramaestre. Also present were Contramaestrian collaborators who fulfilled their mission during the Covid-19 in Italy.
This donation has a significant impact on the emergency services of Contramaestre, whose fleet has been significantly affected by the shortage of parts and pieces.
