In Contramaestre, a high presence was shown by the trade unionists of the Public Health sector, a union that in the territory hosts more than 3 thousand workers, during the celebration of May Day, in a broad demonstration of defense and adhesion to the Cuban social project and its conquests.
Occupying block number 2 among the 15 that participated in the parade for the World Proletariat Day in the municipality, the army of white coats and other workers who work in the institutions of the sector here, made it clear with their presence that despite the immense challenges faced by the sector, among the collectives of the union there is the conviction to continue forward with the invariable determination to promote the socialist project being guarantors in maintaining the provision of services to the people.
Likewise, the public health sector of Contramaestre paraded this May 1st with the maxim that “For Cuba together we create”, aware that it is necessary to promote creativity from each work place with resistance and perseverance in order to improve the quality and efficiency in the attention to the population that demands its services in clinics, stomatological clinics, polyclinics, rehabilitation rooms, maternity homes, grandparents’ homes, among others.
The celebration of the International Workers’ Day in Contramaestre once again made it possible for public health to be firmly present in the patriotic and combative parade demanding once again the elimination of the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on our country, which has a negative impact on the acquisition of medicines, supplies, technology and other indispensable resources to guarantee a better quality of life for the people.
The highest leadership of the Cuban Workers’ Central Union based in Contramaestre headed by Geunis Gonzales Góngora, as well as the organizing and evaluation commissions of the central celebrations, deemed to recognize with the third place the Public Health sector here, among the major trade unions participating in the parade for such a worthy anniversary that is celebrated worldwide, this year dedicated to celebrate the 22nd congress of the CTC convened for 2025 because here united are those who love and support.
