Production and humanistic sense, in the recovery of agricultural commercialization.

In Contramaestre there are slight advances in the commercialization of agricultural products in the network of markets that operate in this municipality of Santiago de Cuba. However, indicators such as stability in supply are not achieved. From this territory, eminently agricultural, we receive a material that illustrates the above.

Supplying the agricultural markets of Contramaestre is the responsibility of the local agricultural system and is the main mission of the cadres who manage the sector in the territory.

In spite of the efforts and strategies, regular supply levels are not reached, nor is there a significant improvement in prices in correspondence with the quality of the product.

In view of the non-compliance in deliveries, what are the actions that are undertaken to achieve the supply of these facilities?

Four markets and twelve points of sale, of which seven are leased, make up the agricultural marketing system in Contramaestre. We visited the popular La Línea state market to get feedback from the population on the service provided here.

One measure of the slight improvement in agricultural marketing in Contramaestre is the weekly fair. The modality of direct sales by producers through their grassroots structures makes this commercial activity more dynamic and attractive.

It is only possible to get these platforms to return to the splendor of their best years, so that the products of the countryside cease to be part of the speculation and remain outside the inflationary equation suffered by the people, with more investments in the countryside, increased production, more control and humanistic sense of those who produce and sell.
