Contramaestre’s government must find solutions to accumulated problems

Contramaestre's government must find solutions to accumulated problems.

In the midst of the complex situation that Cuba is going through and that demands extraordinary efforts in all senses, it is up to the Contramaestre government, from the task that its Municipal Administration Council has before it, to go to the permanent search for solutions to attenuate or eliminate accumulated problems that affect the population, as has been reiterated in several scenarios by the highest leadership of the country.

In this sense, and with a view to overcoming the results shown by the Local Administration, after being evaluated in plenary sessions of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in the present mandate, new work projections of competence for this Body are defined for their implementation in the midst of the process of correcting the distortions and negative trends that mark the economic and social life of the locality.

Hence, the priority actions on the part of the government of the municipality must be aimed at strengthening the role of control, supervision and demand through the work with the cadres, the link with the intermediate and grassroots structures, with the workers, delegates and with the people in general.

In the same way, it is required for this organ to supervise the fulfillment of the economic indicators of the territory for a greater sustainability, seeking to fortify the production of food on the basis of local food systems, to promote the investment program and to promote local development by implementing productive chains between state enterprises and MSMEs, as well as to efficiently guarantee the social programs and services, in attention to the issues that constitute proposals and complaints of the population.

No less important is the need to intensify control actions for the prevention and confrontation of social indiscipline, illegalities, crimes and manifestations of corruption, in addition to continuing to intensify the problem of high prices, for the containment of which the measures applied have proven to be insufficient, as well as the inspections carried out by the existing inspection bodies.

It is a matter of advancing in the implementation of the Government’s projections, with emphasis on the need to identify the distortions and negative tendencies that are currently being manifested and that constitute dissatisfaction among the inhabitants of this part of eastern Cuba.
