Cuba and Serbia for strengthening interparliamentary cooperation

Cuba and Serbia seek to strengthen interparliamentary cooperation

Parliamentarians from the Socialist Movement of Serbia highlighted the exceptional level of relations today between Cuba and their country.

Boyan Torbica and Djordje Komlenski, both legislators, spoke with Cuban Hero Fernando González Llort and with the island’s ambassador in Belgrade Leyde Ernesto Rodríguez.

Torbica reported on the formation of a friendship group with Cuba, which confirms the determination to develop parliamentary contacts.

He thanked González for his stay on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the aggression by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and added that both countries have been fighting for decades to remain independent and follow their own path. He also thanked Cuba for its principled position that Serbia must be an integral and united State.

In turn, González thanked the Serbian parliamentary friendship group for its constant support and solidarity, and pointed out the need to continue working to develop cooperation in the fields of bioenergy, pharmacy, higher education, culture, entrepreneurship and agriculture.
