In homage to the 56th anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara, a precursor figure of the volunteer activities in the Cuban nation, a productive work was carried out on the banks of the Carretera Central of the municipality of Contramaestre.
The activity is part of the actions of the Image Project, a program that for some time has been implemented by the Santiago municipality with the objective of transforming the public ornament of the city.
The cleaning and beautification actions counted with the participation of the workers’ movement of Santiago de Cuba, representatives of the Popular Council, communal workers, as well as political and mass organizations of the jurisdiction.
For more than two hours, those attending the activity transformed this part of the Contramaestre municipality that communicates towards the Hero City.
The productive work also had the purpose of supporting the campaign developed by the public health sector of the municipality to control the hygienic epidemiological situation, especially the one related to the elimination of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.
