Civilian Defense workers are not distinguished by uniforms, but their uniqueness is noted with undisguised pride. On the shoulders of these workers is placed the defense of the country and the guarantee of citizen tranquility, tasks that they assume with conscious responsibility in a direct way and with great commitment.
From their trenches, they defend the homeland, regardless of days, schedules or family obligations; they are concerned that their work is done well, to support missions in the interest of preparedness and combat readiness.
These men and women wake up every morning with the certainty of contributing to the modernization of technology and armament in the repair of a tank, of instructing the relief being trained in a military training center, of producing oxygen for medical use and cooperating in its distribution, of being doctors, nurses and nurses, agricultural producers.
Distinguished workers
Because these Civilian Defense workers with distinctive professions and trades of the FAR and the MININT, do not disappoint their guild to continue forward to the future, to contribute with more than enough in both ministries.
Adding knowledge to be better human beings, with the tastes and sorrows that existence itself entails, these members, although they do not wear the olive green, thank their union for a large part of their lives, convinced that only retirement or death will be able to break the bond of embrace.
These willing hearts celebrate with dignity the feeling of being combatants, even when it is not their turn to wear the uniform, because saving the homeland in its integrity is a perpetual commitment that characterizes the Union that groups the Civilian Defense Cubans.
