With colorful scarves in the wind, pioneers from the town of Maffo celebrated the 64th anniversary of their organization this April 4th.
This time, the pioneer squares, full of patriotic love and deep-rooted values, were dressed with songs, poetry and dances to thank Martí and Fidel for the conquered legacy.
“Meñique”, “Nené Traviesa” and Pilar with “Los zapaticos de rosa”, visibly moved, smiled happily to see the continuity assured in each educational institution of the demarcation.
Sixty-four years of history and continuity was an opportunity to unite the generation of the future, to gather opinions and possible constructive suggestions for the preliminary draft of the Code of Children, Adolescents and Youth, whose main principles is to seek a more effective and fair protection of their rights in this age group.
With overflowing joy, the new pines of Maffo, reaffirmed their loyalty to the Organization of Pioneers José Martí, OPJM, whose ideology of Marti and fidelist fruits, consolidate the knowledge in every educational trench.
The family, the school and the community, with a tangible vision that a better country is possible, accompanied the children’s flock, promising seed of a socialist model in the Cuban style.
The future good men and women who will have the responsibility to continue the work of the Revolution, undoubtedly expressed this April 4 in Maffo their declaration of faith in the values, in the roots of a Homeland built with love, sacrifice and hope.
It was more than a commemoration, because boys and girls looked at the horizon with the promise of being not only like Ché, but like those anonymous heroes and heroines who made possible a dream called Cuba.
Because to be a pioneer on the island is not only to wear a scarf or an insignia, it is also to carry in your heart the commitment to be the present that builds the future.
