Cuba: Exhort to take extreme measures on public roads for the beginning of the school year

Havana, Sep 2 (RHC) Cuba’s National Road Safety Commission urges the population and especially drivers to practice responsible behavior during the start of the school year next Monday.

An official information note from the group emphasizes the fact that on that day, the mobilization of children, young students, teachers, workers and family members in the country should be taken into account.

It insists on the need to be extremely careful when driving vehicles, to keep the speed limits and to avoid distractions, among them the use of cell phones at the wheel.

In addition, the essential precaution before crossing pedestrians, the correct use of protective helmets, seat belts and the utmost care before possible traffic diversions due to the celebration of events in schools and their surroundings.

Let’s all contribute to make the new school year a moment of joy and happiness for the whole Cuban family and our society in general, the National Road Safety Commission announces in its information.
