The start of the 2023-2024 school year is scheduled for next Monday, September 4, in all educational centers in Cuba and, as is its duty and custom, the Ministry of Education is carrying out different actions to ensure the success of that start.
In Contramaestre, the Education Sector explained important details related to the program of actions carried out in this sense, where the repair of educational institutions and the completion of the teaching staff are among the most outstanding.
The success of this beginning and its continuity is marked by the efficient work carried out jointly by the school, the family and the community. Taking into account the effort being made in the country so that this school year begins normally and considering the difficult situation being experienced, where the worsening of the blockade is the main cause, the family has the unavoidable commitment to cooperate as much as possible in the achievement of this purpose.
As was explained in the municipal press conference, the basic material basis for study is in the territory, notebooks and pencils adjusted to courses and educational levels. It is for this reason that the family should help in the timely preparation of these resources once they are in their hands, because the care will ensure a better use in optimal conditions. It is worth mentioning the repair of textbooks, which must also be properly covered, taking into account that the country does not currently have the possibility of producing new volumes and that they are being subjected to changes in their curricula.
In the case of uniforms, something similar is happening, since the sector’s directors informed that they have the basic quantities for the new students in courses and study cycles, the rest of the students will continue with the old uniforms that must be fixed for the occasion. In this sense it is worth remembering that for this course they must attend with clean uniforms and shoes because hygiene is a basic issue in Cuban education.
