The elementary school Antonio Maceo Grajales, located in the Popular Council of Maffo, represents the municipality of Contramaestre in the National Assembly of the José Martí Pioneers Organization, to be held from June 12 to 14, in salute to its 64th anniversary.
Amanda Suárez Venticuaba, a fourth grade student of this educational institution, who will assume the role of delegate in such an important meeting, commented that it is a great joy to be part of this Assembly, and she is grateful to her teachers for guiding her on the way to this achievement.
The pioneer also announced that her main proposals for improving the work of the OPJM are aimed at carrying out productive activities in school plots, tours of historical sites and increasing activities in the Pioneer Explorer Movement.
At her school, Amanda serves as a group leader, and is noted for her participation in pioneer competitions, volunteer work and cultural activities. In the National Assembly of the OPJM, the student represents the interests of the pioneers in the municipality.
