Seminar Begins for the New School Year

Following an evaluation of the results obtained in the recently concluded school year, the Seminar for the upcoming academic year began in the municipality of Contramaestre. Political and governmental authorities from the territory attended the meeting, along with directors of various schools and representatives from the Municipal Education Directorate.

The occasion provided an opportunity to discuss the fulfillment of key indicators for teaching and pedagogical work, as well as the organization of academic activities in districts and local councils—an experience that they intend to refine for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Regarding the projections for the next school year in the territory, Maricel Echavarría G., Director General of Education, pointed out that it “will take place under similar contingency conditions, so strategies will be directed toward optimizing resources and the teaching workforce.”

The need for preventative work in the classroom, especially with vulnerable groups, was also emphasized. Regarding education, the municipality is committed to the professional development of teachers and educators, aiming to provide students with a high-quality education that meets current demands.

On the second day, the Preparatory Seminar will include committee work, a format designed to facilitate the exchange of key strategies for the processes that will take place in the new term. This approach will ensure greater effectiveness in both academic and extracurricular activities throughout the municipality.
