With a variety of activities, schools in the municipality of Contramaestre celebrated International Archives Week from June 8th to 12th. This week, recognized worldwide, highlights the role of documentation and historical memory in preserving events, information, and data.

In the education sector, archives not only hold records of students, teachers, and academic courses, but also valuable information about each institution and the learning processes that take place within it. All of this contributes historical and documentary value to materials of various kinds within the educational process itself.

Idalvis Aldana Acosta, Methodologist for the Municipal Education Directorate in the area, which oversees Document Management, commented that the main activities of the week focused on presentations about the historical memory of the schools in the area, as well as archival processes and conferences in which school secretaries, school organizers, and those responsible for records took center stage.

In this way, Education in Contramaestre recognizes the continuous work of those who archive the implementation of projects, teaching strategies, development classes, research and all kinds of processes that contribute to the teaching of children, adolescents and young people.
