The city of Contramaestre celebrated the 111th anniversary of its foundation, which was dedicated to local musician Roberto Tejadilla. The jornada for the Cuban Culture Day counted among the local personalities the intellectual Mario Durrutí and our popular festivities in the month of August counted with the local groups in five dance areas.
The vacation period had the animation of artistic brigades, especially the Theatrical Crusade that reached almost all rural communities. Here we developed the literary events Origins and “Patria Chica”.
In 2024, the highest leadership of the country accompanied the Contramaestrians in the daily challenge of overcoming material difficulties, and encouraged, together with the local leadership, the search for solutions by making better use of the enormous potential of the territory.
A difficult but not impossible battle with which the hard-working and patriotic people of Contramaestre are preparing to start this 2025.
