In order to achieve the results proposed in the comprehensive plan until two thousand and thirty, the municipality of Contramaestre updates its development strategy, taking into account the new international economic and financial scenario, but above all, underpinning its objectives on the basis of local potentialities. In the most recent session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, this issue was widely debated.
In the most recent session of the Assembly of People’s Power of Contramaestre, the update of the Municipal Development Strategy was presented by the Municipal Administration Council.
As explained by the Director of Development in the territory, Engineer Humberto Gamboa, it is a document that constitutes the action guide for each of the cadres, leaders and administrative staff of the municipality, in an effort to promote integrally the programs of the economy in the territory.
Incorporating criteria of environmental sustainability and adequate integral risk management with a gender approach and having food production as the first strategic sector, this strategy focuses the actions towards the organizational redesign of the business activity of local subordination.
This in order to obtain greater efficiency in the socialist state enterprises so that they contribute more to the local level.
Sectors such as livestock, fishing, coffee production, agro-industry and sugar are among those that receive the most attention in this plan, adjusted to the concrete realities of the historical moment, without renouncing to the ambitious purposes of integral development that Contramaestre visualizes towards the year 2030.
As part of the renewal that is being lived in Contramaestre, in the most recent session of its Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, the release for renewal of comrade Tania Pérez Saumell in the position of mayor, now occupied by comrade Karel Vázquez Pérez, was approved.
