Farmers of Contramaestre carry out activities in honor of May 17

A wide and diverse plan of activities was organized by the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the municipality of Contramaestre in salute to the 65th Anniversary of the Agrarian Reform Law. This measure strengthened the peasant-worker alliance, the support of the peasantry to the Revolution and dignified the men and women of the countryside.

This plan of activities was framed in two stages, the first from September 22, 2023 to January 1, 2024 in salute to the 65th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution and the second from January 2 to May 17, in commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the murder of the peasant Niceto Perez Garcia.

United and productive we defend the Revolution has been the central slogan of the celebration day. The general objective of the activities is to generate a broad political and mass movement in the peasant communities that will contribute to increase the productive, economic and social results at all levels.

The program was designed according to the characteristics of the territory, so 19 activities were carried out in the first stage and 37 in the second stage.

Voluntary productive work, sports, recreational and cultural activities. Process of restoration and updating of the identifying fences and Martian squares of the Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) and Credit and Service Cooperative (CCS).

Young farmers, municipal assets related to the prevention and fight against crimes, meetings with the FMC-ANAP brigades, delivery of special donations of agricultural products to maternity homes, assistance and health centers, exhibitions of circles of interest were present in this celebration day in this eastern territory of Santiago.
