The main objective of the visit of the National Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Minag, to the territory was to verify the progress of the research exercise of the livestock mass and control and use of the land in the municipality of Contramaestre. The work commission in charge of verifying the process will be joined by executives of the delegation of Agriculture, CENCOP, and the Livestock Registry in the municipality.
The supervision will be extended to all the districts of the territory, starting with Los Negros, one of the most advanced in this sense, said Licet Núñez Nápoles, Head of the Department of Livestock Registration and Genetics of the Delegation of Agriculture in Contramaestre.
The control exercise, under way since March 1, is a way to update the real status of the livestock mass available in the territory and to detect possible irregularities in the keeping, registration and care of the animals.
Núñez Nápoles also pointed out the responsibility of the owners in updating the property records and their decisive role in the success of the tasks related to this branch of production.
For the municipality of Contramaestre, the agricultural sector is the fundamental economic sector, which is why the verification of the livestock research exercise is a priority task. The new tasks of organization and control will give way to the advancement of livestock in the territory.
