Cuba Prime Minister in Russia in an official visit

Moscow, Jun 6 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, arrived in Moscow on his first official visit to Russia, the Cuban embassy in Moscow reported.

“We arrived in the Russian Federation on an official visit (…) in order to expand and consolidate bilateral relations between our countries, maintained uninterruptedly from 1960 to the present,” Marrero commented on Twitter.

The visit of the Cuban premier takes place in the context of the expansion and enhancement of ties between Russia and Cuba, especially in economic and commercial sectors.

The Cuban prime minister will remain in Russia until June 17th, and will participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, in the city of Sochi. He will later fulfill a program in Moscow, and will end his visit by attending the International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.
