In Contramaestre, more than 1,800 electoral authorities and personnel of the auxiliary structures are taking on a new stage of training ahead of the national elections to be held throughout Cuba on March 26, with a view to electing deputies to the National Parliament, the highest State body with legislative and constituent power in this nation.
This training is part of the actions contemplated in the work schedule foreseen by the National Electoral Council and will make it possible, through an audiovisual support, for the electoral entities of Contramaestre as well as their counterparts in the country, to learn the distinctive features of the national elections, with emphasis on the requirements for the exercise of the vote, its quality, the counting of the ballots deposited in ballot boxes, the validity and proclamation of the election of the deputies for this territory.
Training for national elections
This training stage for the electoral entities of this territory will be in progress from March 1st to 15th and will become another moment to guarantee the success of the elections, which take place every five years in Cuba, under the Constitution of the Republic and the Electoral Law, law number 127 of 2020.
In Contramaestre, 270 polling stations have been set up for the March 26th election day, two of them special. The vast majority of the total number of polling stations will be available in state institutions of the different sectors of the economy, production and services in this eastern Cuban jurisdiction, which will know how to make the national elections another demonstration of the people supporting the expression of authentic socialist democracy because #MejorEsPosible (#ToMakeItBetterIsPossible).
