Annual economic balance of Commerce and Gastronomy in Contramaestre

The Company of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services of the municipality of Contramaestre carried out its annual economic balance with which, at the same time, it paid tribute to the day of the worker of the sector (February 4).

This balance was attended by José Angel Labrada Castillo and Manuel Rodríguez Alfaro, main political and government leaders respectively, as well as Luis Alberto Plutín Martínez, head of the Business Group of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services in the province of Santiago de Cuba, and a large representation of workers in the sector.

The report presented addressed, on the one hand, the difficulties still present in the fulfillment of sales and services plans, and on the other hand, the achievements and progress in the process of improvement of trade, gastronomy and services carried out throughout the country.

The Head of the Business Group congratulated the workers of the sector in Contramaestre and acknowledged the role played by the municipality in the effort to offer a better service to the people.

Inoelis Anaya Ochoa, director of the Company of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services in Contramaestre, referred to the problems that still exist in the fulfillment of the technical-economic plans by some entities. And he emphasized that the high prices have to have a special attention, because the plans will not be fulfilled by raising the prices, but by increasing the services and the elaborated and semi-elaborated products, for which the entities conceived for such purpose are responsible.

Plutín Martínez recognized that in Contramaestre, as in no other municipality of the province, the work of commerce, gastronomy and services have had the support of the Party and the local government, and “here in this balance it is clearly shown,” he emphasized.

Finally, the work projections for 2023 were made known, among which the following stand out: to maintain a competitive, efficient and sustained gastronomy; to reach 108 tons of production in the Processing Centers; to increase electronic payments and collections to minimize the movement of cash; and to increase the political work with young people.
