Workers of the Gerardo Morín Frías Art Hall, of Maffo district, in the municipality of Contramaestre, are carrying out cultural and social impact activities in celebration of May Day. This was stated by Migdalia Márquez Ortega, director of the institution.
While waiting for this day, the usual efforts of the art instructors in the different communities are multiplied, especially in relation to the care of the elderly.
The support provided by employees of the institution to the work being carried out at the Las Guásimas photovoltaic solar park is also an example of the mobilization of the cultural sector in favor of local development projects.
Work is also being carried out to beautify the surroundings of the House of Culture and to make posters allegorical to the date, including the slogan that will preside over the parade: “For Cuba, together we create”.
In the municipality of Contramaestre, the houses of culture play a leading role in the promotion of culture for different age groups. As for the May Day celebrations, this sector ensures its active participation and commitment to create together for Cuba. The Gerardo Morin Frias House of Culture joins in this task of preparing the ground for the workers’ celebration in the municipality.
