The collective of the fry station in the Santiago municipality of Contramaestre intends to produce 71 million larvae this year and is taking the first steps in the campaign in which they have achieved 17 million so far.
Every week they enter these ponds in the early hours of the morning and capture the females and males that will serve as reproducers.
To make the work effective, they put into practice all the know-how accumulated in dozens of years of work and the knowledge of the younger ones, such as this recently graduated doctor of veterinary medicine, who values the efficiency of the process.
