Fishing workers in the municipality of Contramaestre attended a meeting on the occasion of the celebration on April 8 of the day of the worker of the sector in Cuba.
They represent the different aquaculture brigades and units in this territory of the province of Santiago de Cuba, one of the most important in view of its enormous potential and productive results.
In the midst of a process of recovery of the sector, they review and evaluate each of the activities they develop, from spawning, larvae production, commercialization of fry, sowing and fattening to capture.
The opportunity is used to recognize the most outstanding fishermen, some of them achieved this under very difficult conditions, in the midst of the lack of fishing gear, inclement weather and the lack of essential supplies to carry out their work.
They take advantage of and celebrate the advances in activities such as alevinaje or fish reproduction, which ensure a good year for fishing in Contramaestre.
