Hertzian waves reach us all, envelop us and communicate a distant world with an immortality that makes it authentic.
Under the slogan: “Radio and Climate Change”, 2025 emphasizes the significant variation of climate components, compared to prolonged periods, as the world faces the growing challenge on this issue.
This edition, which defends the informative treatment of an issue of vital importance due to global warming and its secondary effects, should be of tangible interpretation for men and women committed to Radio worldwide.
Environmental media challenge is urgent, because the danger of lower water availability and lower crop yields, increased risk of droughts, loss of biodiversity, forest fires and heat waves, are natural phenomena that require coordinated work by all countries.
Our broadcasting house, following the celebration of World Radio Day and very close to its 35th anniversary on February 24, is also focusing on the global challenge which has no limits.
Since global warming is the cause of climate change, i.e. the increase in the planet’s temperature, from now on, the response of communication specialists, such as journalists and program directors, must be prompt and timely to counteract the negative consequences on physical, biological and human systems, among other effects.
So let this February 13, fixed in the calendar as World Radio Day, serve to consolidate a working strategy aimed at keeping the earth alive.
If we undertake in 2025 this call of the world Radio, of which our station is not devoid, we will be responding to the challenge that calls for climate activism and obstacles to solutions.
