Today December 30, the people in Contramaestre enjoyed the end-of-the-year food fair, where different kinds of food and other necessity stuff are sold so that the people have the necessary things to celebrate the December 31 party.
The fair started as soon as the ceremony tribute to Battle of Maffo which took place in front of the former Banco de Fomento Agrícola e Industrial de Cuba, today Rolando Ayub Coffee Processing Unit for export. A representation of young people, workers, political and mass organization leaders, together with combatants of the Cuban Revolution, recalled the epic deed, which for 20 days enabled the triumph of the Liberation Army over the troops of the dictatorship stationed there.
