In addition, that he “issue safe harbor letters to address excessive sanctions enforcement, suspend sanctions that impede aid, and facilitate the repair and modernization of the island’s energy infrastructure.”

McGovern, last October 20, stated in his account in the social network X, that his country’s current policy directly contributed to Cuba’s energy problems, as it sanctions ships that transport oil to the Island and deprives the Caribbean nation of the foreign currency income it needs to import fuel and spare parts.

Cuba’s Political Bureau member and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, has expressed that his country appreciates “the voices denouncing the U.S. blockade, the main cause of the limitations and damages suffered by our people.”U.S. Congressmen ask Biden to take Cuba off terrorist list
