The existence of MSMEs in Contramaestre is an advance to be grateful for. They are sources of employment, they satisfy needs that until now were not covered by the system of state enterprises and self-employed workers, they can even improve the culture of services and good treatment.
The new economic actors are not benefits to be underestimated, such as their insertion in gastronomy, agro-industrial production, construction, transportation and recreation. However, the leap made by MSMEs makes a reality more evident: there is still a lot to learn regarding the proper business management and the roles and responsibilities of MSMEs towards their audiences.
Of course we are not referring to the knowledge of the law, because we know that its approval is supported by hours of studies for the tax declaration, registration of the trademark, constitution of the limited liability company, among other requirements.
There are other loopholes. Our local MSMEs still struggle with organizational communication, they make use of bad practices in service and worst of all, corporate social responsibility, which goes a little further, is a pending issue to be solved.
Let’s mention the lack of food safety in the food sold in the central 11th street of Contramaestre, whose chicken and minced meat are exposed to contamination due to lack of refrigeration as opposed to the high temperatures of summer, is an alarming reality.
And what to say about the weighing of such demanded products? The palate that imposes high prices on its offerings, while not generating jobs for the neighbors of the neighborhood where the luxurious private restaurant is located.
The examples also include the store or cafeteria that establishes six days of work for its sales clerk with small children, a tendency that evidences a certain denaturalization.
What is it all about? It is about assuming a positive and constant attitude that protects the customer or consumer with a presentable product, at a good price and correct weighing. It is also about a correct contribution to health, safety and social welfare to the satisfaction of the people.
