Israel and its brutality of the genocide against Palestine

The latest report on the fateful results of Israel’s genocide against Palestine gives the figures of 37396 dead, 85523 wounded and 11000 missing, among them defenseless children, women and the elderly.

According to the regional director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the Middle East and North Africa, Adele Jodr, warned that the conflict in the Gaza Strip has become a “war against children” and denounced that the area is already a “cemetery for children”.

On the other hand, she commented that “Probably all the children will be traumatized because they have gone through something that no child should go through,” Jodr stressed on Monday during an event held in Tokyo (Japan).

The head of UNICEF recalled that there are 37,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition and that 17,000 have been orphaned and are therefore at risk of exploitation and abuse.

In addition, there are many who have suffered serious injuries and even loss of limbs, circumstances that can be fatal given the critical situation of the Gazan health system.

“If they had been in a normal place, where there was a normal hospital, a hospital equipped with the necessary medical supplies and equipment, they could have been saved,” she argued.

For all these reasons, the Lebanese has called for an immediate ceasefire and the involvement of the international community so that the necessary aid can reach the children in Gaza who need it.

However, all attempts to stop the genocide or facilitate the entry of aid to the Palestinian refugees are practically unsuccessful due to the reluctant position of the Netanyahu government, ignoring all calls of humanity, and relying on the unconditional aid of the US government.

From many parts of the world voices are raised in support of the Palestinian people against the Israeli genocide, which has no borders for its indiscriminate air attacks on the civilian population.

Cuba is one of the countries that raises its voice the loudest in order to stop the massacres and the illegal occupation of the Zionist government over Palestinian territories.

Cuba reiterated, at the United Nations, that the admission of Palestine as a Member State of the UN is an urgent need and an essential step to advance towards a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
