Nature inspires, heals, consoles, strengthens. Today the Earth weeps in secret for the silent damages. Mother Nature exhibits her sadness at seeing trees cut down, seas polluted, furrows turned into deserts, species dying, riches annihilated.
Restoring the lands, stopping desertification and strengthening resilience in the face of drought, is the call to the present generation and in defense of human survival, to sustain all the men she raises.
Biodiversity cries out for its people to save our endangered planet, to stop climate change, to ensure food, water resources and the economic well-being of millions of people.
Yet the Earth groans, calls to conscience, summons her children to unite to respond to unprecedented environmental challenges, to change the face of the universe.
It is not an impossible task. We can all help to end degradation, to beautify damaged landscapes, to erase the urgent and the necessary.
Not going back in time, growing forests, revitalizing water sources and restoring soils must be immediate solutions. We are the generation that can make peace with the Earth, that can make the change to care for and protect creation, the planet of all.
When the Earth is preserved and the world’s breath is not taken away, the brightness of the moon will be reflected in the water of the river, the birds will return to their nests with their beautiful chirping, the song of the wind will be heard and food will grow thanking life, so that hopes will sprout again in the hearts in defense of our planet.
