Significant cleaning, beautification and renovation activities were carried out in the municipality of Contramaestre in Santiago de Cuba to mark the 70th anniversary of the assault on Moncada and as part of the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
An important revival movement took place in this territory, which included the promotion of the food production program, as well as the differentiated attention to the communities affected by the heavy rains in June.
Contramaestre, always with the accompaniment of the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the province, enters the third commemorative stage for the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution.
The challenges of this new working term are also focused on strategic lines in the stage from August to December, based on the agricultural development, the fulfillment of economic, productive and social plans, as well as the attention to the prioritized programs.
The visit to the productive poles of El Rincón and Bungo, by Salvador Valdés Mesa, Member of the Political Bureau and Vice President of the Republic, laid the foundations for increasing the sowing of food in those enclaves, with emphasis on agro-technology and adequate use of soils.
The territory is also developing egg and medicinal plant programs, under the permanent supervision of the Commander of the Rebel Army José Ramón Machado Ventura, and is not renouncing the revival of fishing activities.
The attention to families and people in conditions of vulnerability is another priority of the work of the people of Contramaestre in this new stage, while the activity of the installed mini-industries is developed and expanded, taking advantage of the raw material in the countryside for the benefit of the population and the peasants with the closing of productive cycles.
The beginning of the teaching activity in the 2023-2024 school year is another challenge in which the municipality intends to maintain and raise the indicators of the sector in relation to the previous school year, sustaining a program of maintenance and conservation of educational institutions.
The successful development of banking and other political-ideological processes prior to the congresses of the Federation of Cuban Women, the UJC and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution are incentives for creative work.
Contramaestre, the most agricultural municipality in the province of Santiago de Cuba is in the middle of a cold planting campaign and within the Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education Strategy, the Agriculture System is working on the delivery of land in usufruct, the control of the livestock mass as well as its productions.
At this moment details are being finalized in productive poles such as Laguna Blanca and Ruta Martiana for the intensive sowing of vegetables and vegetables that will guarantee the stable presence and reasonable prices of these products of high popular demand in the table of the people of Santiago.
With their best sons at the forefront, the people and the authorities of Contramaestre intend to obtain results at the height of the 65th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution. All this on the basis of unity and work as the best strategy.
