The Unión Eléctrica estimates for Tuesday night an availability of 2 470 MW and a maximum demand of 3 180 MW in power generation, for a deficit of 710 MW, so that if the expected conditions are maintained, a 780 MW deficit is forecast for this time of the day.
SEN availability at 7 a.m. is 2 080 MW and demand 2 600 MW, with 555 MW affected by capacity deficit in the system. It is estimated that the effect will continue throughout the day today.
Unit 6 of the Mariel thermoelectric plant (in the process of starting up), the Guiteras unit, unit 2 of Felton and unit 3 of Renté are out of service due to breakdowns. Energas Boca de Jaruco unit 6 and Renté unit 6 (in start-up process) are under maintenance.
Limitations are maintained in power generation (355 MW).
In distributed generation, 1,002 MW are not available due to breakdown and 159 MW due to maintenance.
For the peak, it is estimated the entry of 25 MW in distributed generation engines, the entry of 4 engines in the Melones plant (60 MW), the entry of 3 engines in the CDE Moa (45 MW), the entry of the Puerto Escondido unit, with 20 MW, the entry of unit 6 of the Mariel thermoelectric plant, with 80 MW, the entry of unit 6 of Renté, with 60 MW, and the recovery of 100 MW of engines in the distributed power generation.
Yesterday, the service was affected by capacity deficit since 9:32 a.m. due to the unforeseen departure of the Antonio Guiteras power geration plant unit, and the service has been affected throughout the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Monday’s maximum load was 947 MW at 8:40 p.m., coinciding with peak hours.
