As long as there is work to do there is no room for rest. With this premise, the recovery stage in the municipality of Contramaestre is being carried out in an accelerated but favorable manner.
In the district of Baire, one of the places that suffered the greatest damage after the heavy rains of the previous days, the efforts of the highest authorities of the territory and the province to solve the damages can be seen. The recovery activities involve companies and organizations, neighbors and inhabitants in general, with the interest of restoring vitality to the town and its inhabitants as soon as possible.
Effective recovery from heavy rains
Adrián Castellanos Nieto, head of the protection subgroup and vice-president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power clarifies the work being carried out for the recovery, without wasting time, of the affected housing fund and the social works that were damaged by the storm.
¨During the days of heavy rains in the territory, we activated the evacuation group and began to protect the population from those places of possible flooding. Today we still have 29 people protected.¨
¨Today we are also doing a survey to determine how many cases we have of housing reconstruction, and even complete construction, which given the limited resources will take time, depending on the complexity and number of cases.¨
