To advance as quickly as possible in the assistance to the families affected by the heavy rains of last week, to do it with the participation of all the factors, touching the problems with the hands and leaving everything more beautiful than before, are premises that in the town of Baire in the municipality of Contramaestre are defended, as part of the recovery stage.
With the participation of different companies and construction entities, managers of the municipality and the province and the accompaniment of the highest authorities of Santiago de Cuba, rapid progress has been made in the recovery of roads affected by heavy rains, specifically the one leading to the town of Los Negros through Baire. This is corroborated by interviews with Karel Vázquez López, Vice-Intendant of the Contramaestre municipality at the site of the recovery works.

In Baire, the damage to housing was significant, however, a strategy was put in place involving all the factors of the community to help the affected families with food, clothes, household appliances, among others.
The member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Party in the province, comrade José Ramón Monteagudo Ruiz, who is personally checking the work, pointed out that in Baire he has noted the support of the people in the recovery as well as the solidarity among the people.
