Secondary education in the municipality of Contramaestre is preparing for the end of the 2025-2026 school year, taking into account provincial and national guidelines for concluding teaching activities at this educational level.
José Mariano Lora López, Methodologist for the Municipal Education Directorate in the Pre-University Department, reported that the end of the school evaluation will be determined by adjustments to the point scale for each student. This scale will consider the first evaluation period of the year and the systematic assessments, for a total of 100 points.
Among the new adjustments is the suspension of entrance exams for twelfth-grade students. Therefore, admission to university will be based on the academic average of the three years comprising pre-university education.
Lora López also highlighted the crucial role of families at the end of the school year, especially in the re-evaluation process for students who failed the first assessment period or who wish to improve their grades.
Graduation ceremonies are planned for between June 12 and 19, depending on the needs of each school. However, schools will remain open until July 15 for community activities related to summer programs, the official added.
In Contramaestre, secondary education plays a significant role in preparing students for university. Therefore, the end of the current academic year aims to benefit students and consolidate the knowledge they have acquired during this stage.
