In Contramaestre, as part of the guarantees available for the national elections to be held on March 26, all the human resources are available, from the Municipal Electoral Council to the 161 districts and the 13 popular councils, to guarantee the quality of this event, which is protected by the Constitution of the Republic of Cuba and the Electoral Law of the Cuban nation.
In this municipality, the third in the province of Santiago de Cuba in number of voters, with more than 77 thousand, the electoral entities total some 1,836, among which are those responsible for the opening and operation of 270 polling stations that will function on voting day and with the mission to be fulfilled by the two special electoral commissions to ensure the flow, transparency, accuracy and agility of information.
Contramaestre, in the presence of the national elections to elect the deputies to the Cuban Parliament for its Tenth Legislature on March 26, will also have 270 collaborators, seven supervisors and 2,160 pioneers for the custody of the ballot boxes. More than a hundred people will be added to the electoral tasks of this jurisdiction to serve in support missions, in addition to the group that will work in the computation center at the municipal level.
The electoral authorities of the territory are taking great interest in the actions related to their training in accordance with the Electoral Law, in the updating of the voter lists through house to house visits, seeking the accuracy and quality of the electoral list for its publication, a unique, free and official document, in which all citizens of voting age and other requirements established to exercise the vote, a constitutional right and civic duty of Cubans, men and women.
