This July 26th, the province of Ciego de Ávila will proudly serve as the focal point for the celebrations commemorating the 72nd anniversary of the historic assault on the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba and the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks in Bayamo.
In recognition of its unwavering commitment to stability and excellence in fulfilling critical economic, political, and social responsibilities, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba has bestowed this honor upon Ciego de Ávila. This achievement is attributed to the effective collaboration between Party and government structures, as well as the engaged participation of the populace, particularly the younger generations, which embodies a spirit of continuity and progress.
Ciego de Ávila has made significant strides in enhancing control and promoting food production programs, resulting in the attainment of essential production metrics and commendable outcomes in the cultivation of various crops. A notable example of this success is the revitalization of the “La Cuba” Agricultural Enterprise.
Furthermore, Ciego de Ávila is distinguished by its notable achievements in sales, retail circulation, local production of construction materials, transportation, digital transformation, and trade enhancement. The province is also recognized as one of the leading producers within the Ministry of the Food Industry, reflecting its vital role in the nation’s agricultural landscape.
