The municipality of Contramaestre held the opening ceremony for the summer vacation at an iconic rural location in Santiago de Cuba province: Las Golondrinas popular campsite.
Surrounded by the lush nature of eastern Cuba, Contramaestre residents gathered at Las Golondrinas popular campsite to officially open the vacation season.
As the slogan for the 2025 phase, “Summer Forever Young,” proclaims, the younger generations were represented in a majority at this event, which was attended by officials from the party, the government, and other organizations that will actively participate in the organization and development of dozens of activities planned for the period.
A selection of local artists graced the event, offering a preview of the artistic units that will tour the municipality’s thirteen popular councils to share joy and good taste, with a program designed based on the local potential and the creativity of community workers.
The INDER (National Institute of Sports and Recreation), culture, commerce, and agriculture will lead the main efforts to provide options for the Contramaestren family amid severe material limitations.
