Cuba Thankful for China's Complaint Against the Blockade

Havana, July 3 (ACN) Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuban Foreign Minister, today thanked the Chinese Foreign Ministry for its statements against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States (US).

In his address, the Foreign Minister highlighted the Chinese authorities’ call for Cuba’s exclusion from the arbitrary list of alleged sponsors of terrorism.

Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, urged the US on Wednesday to lift sanctions against Cuba and remove the Caribbean country from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

At a press conference, Mao Ning rejected the memorandum to toughen US policy toward Cuba, signed last Monday by President Donald Trump.

He affirmed that China firmly supports Cuba on a path of development that suits its national conditions and opposes Washington’s unilateral sanctions under the pretext of so-called freedom and democracy.
