Havana, Jun 3 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel and other top Cuban leaders today congratulated Army General Raul Castro on his 94th birthday, and highlighted his imprint during more than six decades of socialist construction on the island.
Through his profile on the social network X, the Cuban head of state affirmed that this revolutionary leader is an indispensable guide in the challenging mission of giving continuity to the work of Fidel Castro and his heroic generation, in times of reinforced imperial aggressiveness.
For his part, the president of the National Assembly of People’s Power (parliament), Esteban Lazo, described Raúl Castro as a reference for all revolutionaries and an example for the Cuban people.
Raul is Raul, a man of exceptional qualities, as Fidel said; and he has an everlasting place in the history of the Homeland, said the parliamentary leader at X.
Prime Minister Manuel Marrero also highlighted Raul Castro’s presence at the forefront of Cuba’s battles to overcome difficulties and maintain its independence and sovereignty: “Continue, as you have said, with your foot in the stirrup, teaching us the value of unity and unshakable faith in victory, convinced that ‘from these difficulties we will come out fighting,’ he wrote.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, for his part, expressed deep respect, admiration and affection for the Army General, who -he affirmed- has demonstrated with his life that it was possible, it is possible and it will always be possible to achieve the victory of the Socialist Revolution.
Numerous media outlets on the island, institutional websites and individuals salute Raúl Castro’s birthday today on different Internet platforms, highlighting his history and thanking him for his contributions and commitment to the Cuban Revolution.
