Even though José Martí´s birth anniversary was on January 28, we can write his comprehensive work every day because of the validity of his legacy, which has helped us to develop resilience.
Martí continues to offer hints to understand the challenges of the present, in several aspects of an ever-demanding reality, showing the way by giving his ethical, theoretical, and practical teachings to face and overcome challenges.
Today more than ever, the Cuban people must necessarily appeal to the thought of José Martí and Fidel Castro to continue resisting the onslaught of the global crisis, climate change, the U.S. blockade against Cuba and the 243 restrictive measures imposed by Donald Trump during his first term.
The inclusion of Cuba in the list of states sponsor of terrorism prevent the island from financial transaction needed to purchase basic products and equipment to feed the population and supply hospital and industries with the necessary parts and raw materials.
Martí is our strength
The legacy of our Apostle José Martí is one of the ideological strengths we have to go on, overcoming every difficulty which comes across, defeating any action coming from the foes of the Cuban Revolution, and looking alternatives in the face of the 243 measures to worsen the effects of the US blockade.
As the Cuban president and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, stated at the 9th plenary of the Party:
