President of the National Institute of Information and Social Communication in Cuba, compañero Alfonso Noya Martínez, visited the municipality of Contramaestre together with directors of the organization, as part of the actions prior to the entry into force of the Social Communication Law published on Monday, August 12 in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
In an exchange with journalists and communicators from all sectors of the Contramaestrian society, Noya Martinez explained how the first stage of the conformation of this instance concludes, in which the conditions have been created to articulate a social communication system in the country that allows citizens to have more access to information, with more active participation and a more conscious accompaniment to the social project.
Accompanied by the intendant in the territory, Karel Vázquez Pérez, he emphasized that a fundamental purpose of this institute is to achieve that the person acts with more control over society, a citizen more in control of his rights, with more information and more prepared to successfully face the current conditions of the country and the world.
As part of his stay in Contramaestre, Alfonso Noya Martínez visited the radio station Grito de Baire where he spoke with the radio station’s producers and journalists and the community television correspondent.
